Mr Kelvin Jenghon Chan

Resident Assistant Tembusu College National University of Singapore

Kelvin is a second-year undergraduate student majoring in Nursing. As a formerly active member of the Shan House Committee and its Vice-Captain in his first year, he is now excited to be supporting the house from the side of the Residential Team to make it a welcoming, homely and fun place to live for all.

Outside of work, Kelvin can often be found hiding in his room away from scary people, and found scurrying around, likely with a pot of instant noodles in the middle of the night.

Apart from living like a mouse, Kelvin has a knack for trivia and enjoys reading and conversing about wide-ranging topics from global affairs to politics, history or even the weather. He also enjoys photography, hiking, consuming baked confectionery, travelling and bubble tea.

As an introvert, you may catch Kelvin struggling a little in social situations but be rest assured that he cares and is trying his best to reach out and form meaningful connections with everyone. Do also reach out to him should you need a listening ear, supper, or simply someone to hang with!

The Tembusu (Fagraea fragrans) is a large evergreen tree in the family Gentianaceae. It is native to Southeast Asia. Its trunk is dark brown, with deeply fissured bark, looking somewhat like a bittergourd. It grows in an irregular shape from 10 to 25m high. Its leaves are light green and oval in shape. Its yellowish flowers have a distinct fragrance and the fruits of the tree are bitter tasting red berries, which are eaten by birds and fruit bats.
