Suma Subramani is a Year 4 student majoring in Psychology with a minor in Gender Studies. She is excited to return as a Residential Assistant again this year!

Suma is passionate about mental health and has previously been involved in LoveTembusu, where she worked on promoting the mental well-being of tembusians. She also enjoys engaging in creative interest groups such as Yarn and Doodles—though she’ll be the first to admit she still needs to attend a few more sessions to work on her craft skills!

Outside of Tembusu, Suma was formerly the General Secretary of the NUS Psychology Society, and she continues to stay involved in psychology-related initiatives.

Beyond academics, she’s a huge fan of films and TV series and loves talking about them! She also believes a good 11 pm Sheng Siong run can be the perfect cure for your stress from work.

For Suma, Tembusu has always been a space to explore new interests and meet wonderful people. As an RA, she hopes to continue creating an open, welcoming environment for others to do the same. She’s looking forward to getting to know many more Tembusians this year, so say hi when you see her around!
