Almost every week, members of Tembusu College are invited to meet and chat with guests – both local and international – through a variety of hosted events. As a Residential College, residents of Tembusu College live and learn together with their peers under the same roof. Integral to the learning is the University Town College Programme (UTCP) where residents read five Seminar-style Modules over their two year residency. Kevin Foo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Cardiff, UK. His work experience includes positions in leading corporations not only in Singapore, but the Asian-Pacific region and the United Kingdom. Currently, he is a marketing consultant to an asset management company in Singapore.
Kevin’s deep, abiding concern for the welfare of this society resulted in his book Gracious Living, classified as inspirational with humour. It is written around the three senses of or communication, such as seeing, hearing and smelling, with over 70 incidents played out every day by many of us, knowingly or unknowingly, and accompanied with illustrations to make reading it fun. Kevin has plans to write a series of books on graciousness to encourage living graciously.
Dr William Wan, PhD, is the General Secretary of the Singapore Kindness Movement. He is winner of the Active Agers Award 2011. Before taking on his present assignment, Dr Wan was MD and Senior VP of a Psychometric Company. He was also a lawyer, an academic, a clergyman and consultant, having worked for more than 2 decades in Canada and the US. He is a published author of 4 books and contributes articles to several publications. His accomplished bucket list includes skydiving, scuba diving, snipe racing and sport climbing.
