The Tembusu (Fagraea fragrans) is a large evergreen tree in the family Gentianaceae. It is native to Southeast Asia. Its trunk is dark brown, with deeply fissured bark, looking somewhat like a bittergourd. It grows in an irregular shape from 10 to 25m high. Its leaves are light green and oval in shape. Its yellowish flowers have a distinct fragrance and the fruits of the tree are bitter tasting red berries, which are eaten by birds and fruit bats. Source: Tembusu, Wikipedia

Lawrence Pacewicz is a legal officer at the International Criminal Court in The Hague. He previously worked for the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre.

He has a degree in public international law at University College London.

As of 1 April, Lawrence will take up a new position as a legal advisor at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development in Paris, providing legal advice on public international law in a wide range of areas.

While visiting Tembusu, Lawrence will talk about his career path and working as a lawyer in international organisations.
