Lee Kok Choy is the Country Manager for Micron Technology, Inc., in Singapore. He was appointed to his current position in 2012 and is responsible for aligning Micron’s goals, strategy and leadership within its Singapore presence.
Mr. Lee began his career in the semiconductor industry in 1977 as a process engineer in packaging engineering at Texas Instruments Singapore (TI). Fourteen years later when he was the Product and Operations Manager for DRAMs, TI embarked on a joint-venture to establish a new 200mm wafer fab in Singapore and he was one of the senior managers selected to start up TECH Semiconductor Singapore.
During his tenure at TECH, Mr. Lee served as VP of Operations and later as President. He led TECH through the world’s first on-the-fly wafer fabrication conversion from 200mm to 300mm technology. He joined Micron in 2011 when TECH was fully acquired and integrated into Micron Semiconductor Asia.
Kok Choy holds a master’s degree in engineering (microelectronics) and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the National University of Singapore.
