Associate Professor Kuan Yee Han is the Director of Studies at Tembusu College and concurrently serves as the Assistant Dean of Students at Office of Student Affairs and Master of UTown Residence. His work spans teaching, student life and residential life education, bringing together these complementary roles to create transformative learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom.

Yee Han received his B.Eng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, from the National University of Singapore. During his undergraduate days, he was elected as NUSSU President. He also spent one year a medical device start-up in Silicon Valley as part of the NUS Overseas College Program. 

Yee Han has been with Tembusu College since the pilot program in 2010 as a Graduate Fellow while completing his Ph.D. Upon graduation, he held a joint appointment at Singapore-Stanford Biodesign Program (A*STAR) as a R&D scientist in designing a medical device for end-stage renal disease patients. At Tembusu, he served as the Director of Student Affairs and Gaja Resident Fellow.

Yee Han teaches interdisciplinary seminars on negotiation as well as technologies and ageing issues in Singapore. His teaching and scholarship focus on authentic learning, experiential education and community-engaged learning. Yee Han designs learning experiences that connect academic concepts with real-world challenges. Committed to educational excellence, Yee Han continually explores innovative pedagogies that cultivate empathy, critical thinking, collaboration, and reflective practice. He is also a certified LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitator and regularly incorporates creative facilitation methods to deepen learning and engagement.

His contributions to teaching have been recognised through numerous awards including the NUS Annual Teaching Excellence Award (ATEA) Honour Roll and Residential College Teaching Excellence Award (RCTEA) Honour Roll.
