The Tembusu (Fagraea fragrans) is a large evergreen tree in the family Gentianaceae. It is native to Southeast Asia. Its trunk is dark brown, with deeply fissured bark, looking somewhat like a bittergourd. It grows in an irregular shape from 10 to 25m high. Its leaves are light green and oval in shape. Its yellowish flowers have a distinct fragrance and the fruits of the tree are bitter tasting red berries, which are eaten by birds and fruit bats. Source: Tembusu, Wikipedia

Rohini is a final-year undergraduate student at Tembusu College, pursuing a major in Communications and New Media. She is intrigued by the art of storytelling, and is excited to find ways to integrate it into her academic and professional life. 

Rohini delights in music and can often be found performing at college events, such as formal dinners and ArtsC concerts. In her time in Tembusu, she has taken on roles in tEnPower, ArtsC, and Stretch & Tone. Beyond the college, Rohini actively pursues Indian classical music, which holds a special place in her heart.

After some time away, Rohini is excited to rejoin the college community and meet new faces. She loves the college’s cultural vibrancy and is always down to chat, so feel free to knock on her door anytime!
