The Tembusu (Fagraea fragrans) is a large evergreen tree in the family Gentianaceae. It is native to Southeast Asia. Its trunk is dark brown, with deeply fissured bark, looking somewhat like a bittergourd. It grows in an irregular shape from 10 to 25m high. Its leaves are light green and oval in shape. Its yellowish flowers have a distinct fragrance and the fruits of the tree are bitter tasting red berries, which are eaten by birds and fruit bats. Source: Tembusu, Wikipedia

Julian is a fourth-year undergraduate, currently pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering. He enjoys working on engineering projects and has a passion for Medtech and machine learning. Julian is a proud member of Gaja, is a member of Dodgeball and has performed for multiple Artsweeks as a vocalist/guitarist. 

 

Julian enjoys playing sports, electric guitar and watching sitcoms, animes or anything that makes him laugh. He can often be found in the MPH playing dodgeball and would love to introduce anyone to the sport! Alternatively, you can find him in his room doing schoolwork, in FairPrice, Octobox or Super Snacks ordering a waffle or contemplating his next supper.

As a Residential Assistant, Julian hopes that he is extremely approachable and helpful so please feel free to chat with him about anything!
