The Tembusu (Fagraea fragrans) is a large evergreen tree in the family Gentianaceae. It is native to Southeast Asia. Its trunk is dark brown, with deeply fissured bark, looking somewhat like a bittergourd. It grows in an irregular shape from 10 to 25m high. Its leaves are light green and oval in shape. Its yellowish flowers have a distinct fragrance and the fruits of the tree are bitter tasting red berries, which are eaten by birds and fruit bats. Source: Tembusu, Wikipedia

Fiona, or Fio as her friends call her, is a third-year BBA student specializing in Finance and Economics. She’s passionate about investment and trading — you might catch her checking market news every morning! Fio has been quite active in the college community, having served as Gaja’s house captain in Year 1, CSC Finance Secretary and Dodgeball Vice Captain in Year 2. She wants to give back to the college as much as it has given her.

A typical morning for Fio starts with grabbing a coffee from Coffeehouse before heading off to class or hitting the books. When she’s not studying, you’ll find her playing mobile games or binge-watching Netflix, especially comedy and psychological shows. Fio also loves hanging out and playing games with friends in the lounge or jamming music with them in the Abbey.

If you’re looking for her, the MPH is a good bet—she’s often there playing various sports, but dodgeball is her absolute fave, and she’s always excited to introduce it to new people. If she’s not around, she’s probably catching some much-needed sleep in her room. But don’t worry, once her HP is fully recharged, she’s back out and about, ready to hang out with her housemates.

So if you see Fio around, don’t be shy—say hi! She’s super friendly and always up for a chat.
